What we do is load it up into a smaller 26 foot moving truck, then our guys drive it directly to your destination, then we unload it immediately upon arrival at your new residence. Many of the larger long distance moving companies – once they arrive at your new location, will off-load your items into a warehouse. where they will sit for awhile, until an independent contractor finds the time, to pick up your shipment and deliver it to your new residence. So your furniture and belongings end up being loaded and unloaded multiple times instead of twice! And handled sometimes by three crews instead of one. The possibility of your items missing or being damaged goes up exponentially with all of that handling and moving around.
